The 2012 Racing Season is rapidly approaching! Several on-track test-dates have already passed and the first race of the season is 2 weeks from today. Activity at G-Force is getting crazy as everyone is trying to finish their Winter rebuilds. The atmosphere at the shop is like a prototype factory as each bike is being prepared in varying degrees of difference from one to another.
I just completed the last engine tonight for 2011 450cc Class Champion, Dave Moss. Although the 450 of Mark Elrod is considered "my" bike as far as controlling the project, Dave Moss's bike really was "my" bike. That was the bike i built from the left over parts from our first Tyga order of bikes back in late 2002 era. It was sad for me to have sold the bike, but I am very happy to be able to continue working on it and especially proud that the bike won the Championship last year....even if it wasn't with me on board. The 2012 engine is just a refined version of last year's 428. Only this season I have improved the valve sealing, and sent all of the internals off for Cryo and REM. The bearings have been treated with WS2, and the rings and valves have bee Nitrided, all by a company called Brycoat. Everything was then very carefully assembled and adjusted to maximize this year's performance.
Looking forward to a fun and well fought racing season in 2012.......Keep in touch. I will try and update often.
