Previously, I discussed Micro-Blue Racing and the processes that we tried from them. I chose to try another source for REM & Cryo processing and was very pleased with the results.
CryoScience Technologies, run by Todd Walrich out of Westbury, New York, is a very professional company. They are quick to get back to you on questions, detailed in their answers (and honest of they do not know the answer) and have a great system in place for turning out the work in a timely fashion. If you get them the parts by mid-week, they ship them by the following Tuesday (if arranged in advance of course). The prices are reasonable considering the amount of work necessary on their end and the quality of the work is exceptional.
We sent out practically every internal part that had a sliding or rotating frictional forca against it. Also, we sent out any critical parts that needed their fatigue properties increased. It was quite the transformation from rough casted, dark, bumpy parts to smooth, shiny, almost chrome-looking parts in return. During assembly, it was immediately noticable that the parts wanted to move more freely. I was certain just from feel that we would gain horsepower, and the results on the dyno backed that feeling up immediately. Ater 9,000rpm, difference in parasitic drag is definitely noticable. The reduction in friction was worth between 3hp ~ 4hp across the revs from 9,000rpm to Redline. That's nearly a 5% gain in power just from recucing friction! Truley remarkable.
My experience with Todd and CryoScience Technologies has already earned several returns to use their services, with many more planned in the future. I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of getting REM & Cryo processes done. And, I cannot recommedn the REM & Cryo process enough. If you're thinking of doing it....just do it!
